Langkawi, a well-known holiday destination, is an archipelago comprising of 104 islands located in the Andaman Sea, about 51km from the coast of the northern Malaysian state of Kedah Darul Aman.
Only four of these islands are inhabited, with the island of Langkawi being its largest and therefore the major island in the archipelago.
