The Ipoh Rail Station is one of the iconic landmarks of the City of Ipoh, the state capital of the state of Perak Darul Ridzuan. It was first built in 1894 and thereafter, rebuilt and reopened in 1917. It underwent a refurbishing exercise in 2007, to facilitate electric train services at the Ipoh Rail Station.
It is still in operation today and with rail services experiencing an upturn in interest for romantic and nostalgia reasons, its a fair bet to say that the Ipoh Rail Station will be around for pretty much longer.
