Something about this image of an old bench at the Ipoh Heritage Square (also known as the Ipoh Station Square), with that iconic of Ipoh landmarks, the Ipoh Railway Station, as its backdrop, takes you back in time when railway was a popular mode of long distance travel.
There is no record as to when the old bench, now so battered by the elements and ravaged by time, was placed at the park, unlike the Ipoh Railway Station, as it stands today, which was opened in 1917.
