Tasik Danu of Serian, Sarawak

The town of Serian is the capital of the newly created Sarawakian administrative division of Serian. Serian was formerly part of the Samarahan Division until its creation in 2015.

Serian town is located about 65km (40 miles) from the state capital of Kuching, estimated at about 30-40 minutes drive from the heart of Kuching.

One of the focal points of Serian is Lake Danu or in Malay, Tasik Danu. The lake is a man-made lake with many recreational possibilities – some jog around the lake, some jog at the nearby athletics track, some cast their fishing lines while most would just hang out at the edges of the lake.
