Fort Cornwallis, located in George Town on Penang Island, is a significant historical landmark. It is a treasure trove of historical artifacts with the fort and the areas adjacent to the fort is currently undergoing a restoration process.

One of the most interesting artifact on sight at the fort is the 17th century Dutch bronze cannon named ‘Sri Rambai’.

In one corner of the fort is a memorial in honour of Sir Francis Light, the man who is closely linked to the history and modernization of Penang.
