Nestled off the old trunk road connecting Raub in Pahang to Simpang Pulai in Perak, on the Perak side of the border between the two states of Pahang and Perak, is Lata Iskandar.
A cascading waterfall located up in the highlands, it offers travellers a pit stop to take a break, either to enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea at the nearby shops (not that many of them, at the last count), while taking in lungfuls of cool fresh air or to just to take a stroll and enjoy the sights of water cascade down the heights of smoothened rock surfaces.
And if you still need some perking up, try dipping your bare feet in the water. The cold water will definitely give you a wake-up call, before commencing your journey onwards.
